The most reliable 3-row luxury SUVs in 2019
The most (and least) dependable luxury 3-rows on the market
Modern luxury SUVs are pushing boundaries for opulence, safety, and performance. As automakers continue to pile on the latest and greatest technology into luxury SUVs, prices for upscale vehicles is increasing. With high price tags, luxury SUVs, especially three-row SUVs that can act as family vehicles, are becoming lifelong investments. If it’s not reliable, a three-row SUV can turn into a massive headache.
Reliability is a crucial aspect to consider with a three-row luxury SUV, because it could mean the difference between getting a vehicle your whole family can enjoy or one that winds up taking up space in your driveway.
At U.S. News & World Report, dependability plays a large part in our new vehicle rankings and reviews. We use predicted reliability data from J.D. Power to assign a vehicle with a rating of one to five. A higher predicted reliability score equates to a vehicle that’s expected to be more reliable down the road.
These 13 three-row luxury SUVs are ranked from least to most reliable. A three out of five is about average for a new vehicle. A three-row luxury SUV with a score of four or higher has an excellent predicted reliability rating. For vehicles that received the same predicted reliability rating, we gave the win to the one with a higher overall U.S. News score and/or a less expensive starting price.
Toyota and its Lexus subsidiary did particularly well in this ranking, grabbing all of the top spots.
As U.S. News & World Report gets new information, our overall scores and rankings can change. Therefore, some of the numbers in this slideshow might not match the ones found in an SUV’s review. Continue reading in the gallery above.
