Police tracked down a man wanted in connection to a Coney Island double murder nearly 200 miles away — in Rhode Island, where he was arrested this week, authorities announced.
Victor Cedres, 34, was busted by Rhode Island State Police on Thursday just after 3 p.m. and then brought back to Brooklyn, according to police.
Cedres allegedly opened fire on two men on West 19 Street near Neptune Avenue on Aug. 20 just after 10 p.m., according to cops.
The first victim, Joseph Rivera, 27, was shot in the stomach, and the second victim, Leon Ricardo, 34 – who lived nearby – was shot in the head, according to police. The victims were taken to Coney Island Hospital where they died, police said.
Cedres also lives in the neighborhood where the shooting took place, according to police.
He has six prior arrests, according to police sources.
