Shots fired but no active shooter at Georgia’s Cumberland Mall: police

Shots rang out at a suburban mall just north of Atlanta Saturday, police said.

It’s unclear what sparked the shooting, which sent panicked shoppers fleeing through the mall, a video posted to Twitter shows.

Cobb County Police confirmed shots were fired but said there was no active shooter.

“Yes, shots were fired. But not randomly. Hence, no ACTIVE SHOOTER. Updated information indicates involved parties know one another, therefore incident was isolated to them. Still gathering more info,” they said in a tweet.
