NBA Insider Reveals Latest On Anthony Davis’ Trade Demands – The Spun
On Tuesday night, the New Orleans Pelicans took home the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming NBA draft – winning the lottery despite entering with just a six-percent chance to land the No. 1 selection.
The Memphis Grizzlies and New York Knicks rounded out the top three.
Despite holding the No. 1 pick, the Pelicans still have a major concern on their hands.
According to NBA insider Shams Charania of Stadium and the Athletic, Pelicans star Anthony Davis still wants out of New Orleans.
“The New Orleans Pelicans are now set up to be Zion Williamson’s franchise to lift, and No. 1 pick could ease potential trade of Anthony Davis. His stance on a trade has not changed,” Shams reported Tuesday night.

Despite adding the No. 1 overall pick, Anthony Davis appears set in his demand of a trade. He requested a trade from the Pelicans during the 2018-19 season, but New Orleans rebuffed offers all season long.
Now with (potentially) Zion Williamson on the roster, the Pelicans could decide to hold onto Davis and make a run for the playoffs instead of trading the six-time All-Star.
Entering Tuesday night, the New York Knicks were reportedly interested in a trade for Anthony Davis – if the team landed the No. 1 pick.
With New York holding the No. 3 pick, the Knicks could still make a play for Davis, but the Pelicans could elect to hold onto their star instead.
