A man was arrested at Disney’s Magic Kingdom in Florida after two underage park visitors accused him of touching them inappropriately, authorities said.
James Anthony Jones, 50, was busted Wednesday at the theme park in Lake Buena Vista after one of the victims told security staff that he touched them inside Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe, according to an arrest affidavit obtained by the Orlando Sentinel.
A second incident in the pre-show area of the Haunted Mansion was then reported to Disney security guards as authorities looked into the first allegation.
Jones was taken into custody after being spotted on surveillance video inside the park. He’s facing a molestation charge in the first incident and may face additional counts in connection with the second accusation as an investigation continues, authorities said.
A judge set bail for Jones at $50,000 during his initial court appearance. He was also ordered not to return to any Disney property or anyplace where children are present, WFTV reports.
Investigators have footage showing Jones touching one child inside the Christmas store, according to the station.
Jones, who remained in custody Friday at the Orange County Jail, has also been barred from returning to Walt Disney World by park officials.
“We take these kinds of allegations seriously, and when we became aware of the allegations, we engaged law enforcement,” Disney officials told the station in a statement.
