1,500+ classic Chevy trucks invade the desert
With 1,500+ Chevy trucks in attendance this year, Dino’s Git Down has proved to be one of the best events—period. Year after year, we have witnessed the growth of this show, and it has absolutely caught the community by storm. Though the event has seen many changes, the spirit of it has never been greater.
It all started years back when Dino Battilana decided to throw a small party in the Phoenix area. In case you don’t know, Dino is a huge Chevy truck enthusiast, with many ground-breaking builds under his belt. Through the years, he’s helped the scene grow while creating relationships with some of the best builders.
As the get together got bigger, the venue had to change to accommodate the masses making their way out from all over the country. This year’s Git Down was has held in the parking lot of the Westgate Entertainment District in Glendale, Arizona. As always, this event is closed to only 19471998 GM trucks. Unlike other shows, this one is completely free to enter and there are no awards. It’s more like a giant cruise night, and the mood is always positive—with plenty of classic trucks for everyone to gawk at.
This past event surprised all with the largest turnout to date, and things don’t look like they will be slowing any time soon. Plans for the next show are already in the works; follow @dinoschevyonly on Instagram or visit DinosGitDown.com for all the latest info.
